Artner Gruner Veltliner
Light gold in color, this wine revealed anjou pear, white peach and green apple notes on the nose. The mouth feel brought zippy, spicy acidity and chalky minerality. The finish was off-dry, assertive and the acidity was in balance.
The ARTNER wine estate encompasses 30 hectares of some of the best wine-growing locations in Carnuntum. This ambitious wine region is located in the eastern part of Austria, close to Vienna. These areas are primarily south-facing slopes and benefit from the climatic influence of the Neusiedler See and the nearby Danube. The Artner wine estate has specialized in Austrian grape varieties such as Zweigelt and Blaufränkisch. A wide range of excellent white wines, which display the typical characteristics of their region, is also available. In addition to the Austrian varieties, the estate also has many years experience in the vinification of Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot and succeds in producing complex, harmonious wines with wonderful potential every year.
In addition to the Winery the Family ARTNER runs two sophisticated wine restaurants in the heart of Austria´s Capitol Vienna and a traditional Wine Tavern called Heuriger in the old farmhouse located in the wine region of Carnuntum.
