Chateau Le Coteau Margaux
Brand Chateau Le Coteau
The wine is a fairly opaque garnet, ruby color with slightly tawny edges. On the nose, a wonderful array of scents come forth, including cherries, green peppers, violets, mocha, oak, vanilla, cured meats and cigars. On the tongue, a mingling of bell pepper and cassis from the Cabernet, paired with strawberries and cherries from the Merlot, provide a beautiful taste that is not to be missed.
Chateau Le Coteau is a marvelous example of the elegance of Margaux. A rising star here, Eric Leglise of Arsac is winemaker of great distinction. The vineyards of this chateau lie in the southernmost area of MDOC's appellations, and produce red wines almost exclusively. The vines grow from a soil rich with white gravel, which is a special kind of gravel created from mountain debris brought in by a river system. This gravel gives way to a wine with a full-flavored bouquet and remarkable elegance. - Winery
