100% Syrah. From Texier's younger, i.e. 35-40-year-old vines, in granite-rich, warmer St. Julien. Whole cluster fermentation with native yeasts and a short 5-7-day maceration with no punchdowns or pumpovers (just a moistening of the cap with marc). Aged in concrete for 20 months; bottled with only 10 mg/liter of sulfur.
