Michael Martin is a third generation winemaker from the Weinviertel the primary Gruner Veltliner producing region in Austria about 40 minutes north of Vienna towards the Czech border. The family has been operating a famous heurigen "wine tavern" in Vienna called Zum Martin Sepp. They farming methodology is called integrated production - similar to sustainable in the US and tries to work as close to nature as possible depending on what nature gives him. The Gruner Veltliner has just the right weight, this is a warm, rich and ultimately deliciously refreshing wine. Creamed apples, a tangy texture of clean acidity. Good as an aperitif, also with food.
